The Christ the King Lutheran Foundation is a non-profit corporation in the state of Alabama at the registered office located at 611 Riverchase Parkway W., Hoover, Alabama.

What is the purpose of Christ the King Lutheran Foundation?

The purpose of this Foundation shall be to act as a holding company under the authority of the membership of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Birmingham, Alabama, to receive assets and extend money to promote the religious, educational and charitable purposes of the said Christ the King Lutheran Church of Birmingham, Alabama.

How is the Foundation organized?

All persons who are active members of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Birmingham are members of this foundation.  It is guided by a seven member board of directors elected for a term of five years to carry out the religious educational and charitable purposes of the church body.

Affairs of the corporation are conducted at the annual church meeting and any special meetings called for by the President or any two Directors where a quorum of the Directors attend.

A President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer and such other officers as may be needed are elected annually by the Directors.  The present pastor of the church is a Director during the time he is pastor.

What is the primary function of the Foundation?

The primary function of the Foundation is to encourage church members to donate money to the church and to serve as a guardian of those funds.  All funds donated for specific purposes or memorials will be always honored.
