Where exactly is the church located?
Christ the King Lutheran is located in the Riverchase area of Hoover – approximately 1.2 miles south of the Riverchase Galleria. Our address is 611 Riverchase Parkway W., Hoover, AL 35224.
Where do I park?
Plenty of space is reserved for visitors to Christ the King. As you enter Christ the King from Riverchase Parkway, take the second driveway on the left. When you turn in, stay right and circle around towards the church building. You will see ample visitor parking at the front of the parking lot, closest to the main entrance.
I have small children…what about them?
Quality nursery child care and children’s Bible Study programs are available in a safe and secure environment. We take the safety and security of your precious little ones very seriously.
What’s the dress code? I mean, do I need to break out my “Sunday best”?
Please dress comfortably. While some attendees dress up, most folks wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. You may usually see more casual clothes in our Contemporary services. Jeans and a polo shirt are just fine. Don’t worry too much about what you wear–just come and join us.
Should I tell people at church that I’m visiting? I don’t like a lot of “attention”…
At Christ the King Lutheran, we greet all visitors casually without the “hard-sell” you may find elsewhere. To allow us to serve you, please let the greeters know you are visiting so they can answer your questions and direct you to options you may need, such as child care. Pastor Chris wants to introduce himself to you and invite you to come again, so please exit in the middle aisles and give him the privilege to say hello and greet you personally.
When do all the great activities begin?
Sunday Worship services are at 8:00 am and 10:40 am, as well as 5:00 pm. We have three distinct worship services on Sunday to appeal to most worshipers. Our 8:00 am service is Traditional and our 10:40 am service is Contemporary. Our 5:00 pm service is a more relaxed, fully Contemporary service with praise music.
We also offer plenty of programs for Sunday School, which begin at 9:20 am. We have programs for kids, youth, adults, families and senior adults.
